Tottenham head coach Igor Tudor revealed four new injuries and doubts ahead of their trip to Liverpool on Sunday, which could see 13 of their players miss out.
Tudor held his pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way on Friday afternoon to effectively confirm he will remain in the job for the weekend’s clash at Anfield.
But his work is made significantly more difficult as Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha are unavailable due to concussion protocols.
Yves Bissouma is another expected absentee with a fitness issue while Conor Gallagher is a doubt as he suffers with a fever.
Tottenham are also without Micky van de Ven as the centre-back serves his one-match suspension for a red card last time out in the Premier League against Crystal Palace.
Those five players join eight more known absentees as Tudor is faced with fielding a makeshift lineup for a make-or-break game.
Who else is injured for Tottenham?
Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, James Maddison, Ben Davies, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Mohammed Kudus are all out.
Left-back Destiny Udogie, who has missed the last five games with a hamstring injury, is still sidelined but nearing a return.
Tudor is set to make a number of changes from the 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night, having already confirmed Guglielmo Vicario would replace Antonin Kinsky in goal.
Kinsky endured a nightmare first Champions League start having been named as a surprise starter, shipping three goals including two individual errors before being substituted after 18 minutes.
With Van de Ven, Romero and Davies all out Tottenham are particularly light at centre-back which could see Tudor revert to a four-man defence.
Kevin Danso will likely partner Radu Dragusin in the middle with Djed Spence and Pedro Porro at full-back – though Tudor has already used Porro as an uncomfortable centre-back and young midfielder Archie Gray is another option in defence.
Pape Matar Sarr and Xavi Simons are guaranteed starters in midfield while Richarlison, Dominic Solanke and one of Mathys Tel or Randal Kolo Muani will start in attack.
Liverpool find themselves in a much healthier position despite Alisson remaining a doubt and Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Wataru Endo, Stefan Bajcetic, James McConnell and Jayden Danns all being out.
