Manchester City have added Paris Saint-Germain’s teenage sensation Ibrahim Mbaye to their summer recruitment shortlist.

The 18-year-old winger is keen to secure a move, and PSG have reluctantly opened the door to a permanent transfer in order to cash in.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are also monitoring the situation, alongside Bundesliga heavyweights RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Mbaye’s reputation has soared following an impressive campaign on the international stage.

Representing Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, the explosive winger came off the bench in Senegal’s opening match to score a sublime goal against France.

He became the youngest goalscorer in his country’s World Cup history and the youngest African player ever to score at the tournament, at just 18 years and 143 days old.

Mbaye’s pathway at PSG has become increasingly blocked. The winger has struggled to secure regular starts under manager Luis Enrique due to intense competition for places.

Concerned that his development could stall on the bench, Mbaye is eager to leave PSG in search of first-team football elsewhere, although his camp are keen for him to remain in the French capital.

Mbaye has two years remaining on his current contract, so PSG are under no immediate pressure to sell.
