The introduction of Michael Carrick as caretaker manager has revitalized United in the last few games, and they were handed a big advantage here by Cristian Romero's red card in the first half. Goals from Bryan Mbuemo and Bruno Fernandes were enough for United as they continued to show their fluid attacking approach.

Michael Carrick has enjoyed a dream start as Manchester United caretaker manager with wins against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Fulham accompanied by a stylish way of playing that has seen key players regaining their confidence.

Things have been a little less dreamy for Thomas Frank, whose Tottenham Hotspur side are languishing in the lower half of the table. Spurs did manage to come back from a 2-0 deficit last time out against Manchester City though and would have needed similar resilience here if they were to secure a result at Old Trafford.
