Martin Ho described summer signing Cathinka Tandberg as a ‘strong goalscorer’ and a player who will only strengthen the frontline in his squad.

The young Norway international forward was our final signing of the summer transfer window, completing a permanent move to us on Thursday as she joined from Swedish side Hammarby IF.

A proven goalscorer during her time in Norway and Sweden, our Head Coach was pleased to see the arrival of the 21-year-old in north London and believes her potential ceiling is ‘very high’.

"Cathinka is another brilliant player for us,” he told the media in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon. “She adds depth to the squad, but more importantly her energy, commitment, and her personality in the final third is a huge threat in terms of goalscoring.

“She's physically strong, powerful and her work ethic is second to none. This is a signing just now for now, but for the future.

"As she said yesterday in the media, she wants to be seen as a legend like Harry Kane was here and I believe she can. We want to give her every opportunity to do so."

He was later asked what attracted him to the signing of ‘Tinka’, he added: “She’s a really young and talented player, very creative and dynamic in that attacking third of the pitch, and a very strong goalscorer alongside the players we have already.

“I want to have different profiles in that frontline that allow us to play slightly different in certain moments but also cause the opposition different problems.

“Cathinka ceiling of talent is really high alongside the other players in the squad and I want to make sure we help her fulfil that.

“We’re very happy to have her here and she will add value but, more importantly, competition in the forward line."
