Marcos Senesi has enjoyed a whirlwind week that's seen him sign for Tottenham and get a World Cup call-up - and supporting him throughout has been his footballer partner

Marcos Senesi's footballer girlfriend is fully behind her beau's move to Tottenham.

It's been a sensational summer already for Senesi, who has clinched a move to Spurs following the expiry of his contract at Bournemouth and has now been called up to Argentina's World Cup to replace the injured Leonardo Balerdi.

The two pieces of news mean Senesi and his stunning partner, Kelci-Rose Bowers, who recently played for Bournemouth's women's team, will spend more time apart. Senesi, 29, joined the Cherries from Feyenoord in 2022 and is believed to have started dating Bowers shortly after she signed for the Dorset club, initially on loan, in March 2024.

Since then, their romance has blossomed, with the pair supporting each other in their respective careers. After Senesi's move to Spurs was confirmed, Bowers posted on her Instagram story: "A new chapter that I'm so happy to be part of."

Then, after Senesi was drafted in to join Lionel Messi and co at the World Cup, she posted: "OMGGGGGGGGG, it's happening," followed by a heart emoji. Bowers even captured the moment he got the call to go to North America.

Posting on X, she said: "We just came back from being in Miami on holiday. We came back to Ibiza just to enjoy a bit and relax, but this whole time neither of us have switched off.

"We are both aware of the situation so we’ve not been able to fully enjoy, do you know what I mean? And now, Marcos, he’s just been called up!

"Are you joking? This is literally what both of us have just been praying for, every day he’s been thinking about this. This is crazy."

After Senesi put the phone down, they embraced and screamed in celebration. Bowers has a successful career in her own right.

She combined playing for Bournemouth in the Women's National League with a successful modelling career. It was announced earlier this month that she had left the Cherries and her next move is unclear.

Bowers, who signed to modelling agency FORTE, enjoys lavish getaways around Europe, which she shares with her 225,000 Instagram followers. Last summer, the 22-year-old visited Senesi's homeland and has been regular at his matches, including away games.

Next season, when her busy schedule allows, she will be making trips to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to support Senesi, who has become the latest player to sign up for Spurs' rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi.

Senesi said: "It's a very special feeling to be a Tottenham Hotspur player. From the first moment, the club has shown why they want me and how much they want me to be a part of what they are building.

"It’s exciting and something I can’t wait to be involved in." De Zerbi masterminded Spurs' Premier League survival with an 11-point haul across seven tense matches.

But he has urged the club to learn lessons. An overhaul of the defence was quickly pinpointed as a key area of attention, with Senesi joining fellow free transfer Andy Robertson at the club.
