Mehak Khanna made her debut for Scotland Under-17s as she featured in their double-header against Finland as part of their preparations for next month’s European Championship qualifiers.
The young forward, who made her first appearance for our Under-19s last month in their Professional Game Academy League clash against London City Lionesses, earned her first call-up to Michael Tuohy’s side and she came off the bench in their first game against Finland last Friday to mark her first appearance at that level.
Coming on as a second half substitute, Mehak completed 27 minutes as the young Scots suffered a 1-0 defeat to Finland in the opening game.
Then, on Monday (15 September), Scotland earned a 5-3 win in the second game of the double-header against Finland, with Mehak once again a second half substitute as she featured in the final quarter-of-an-hour of the contest.
These two games against Finland provided a useful test before heading out to Poland next month for round one of their European Qualifiers against England, Montenegro and Poland.
