The 18-year-old striker has been included in Heimir Hallgrímsson’s squad for their upcoming fixtures against Qatar and Canada.
Mason joined us in January after his move from St Patrick’s Athletic was agreed a year prior.
After recovering from an injury, he’s been playing for our Under-21s in recent weeks, scoring three goals in six Premier League 2 appearances, including a penalty at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the play-off semi-final defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month.
He’s been a regular for Ireland throughout the younger age groups, all the way up to Under-21 level.
He’ll now be in the frame for the senior team as his nation plays host to Qatar on 28 May before travelling to Canada on 6 June.
