The latest Tottenham Hotspur injury news as Thomas Frank prepares his team ahead of the Spurs manager's first North London Derby

Tottenham Hotspur could welcome back Mohammed Kudus for Thomas Frank's first North London Derby as the club's manager.

Kudus' last game in a Tottenham shirt was against Chelsea earlier this month. After suffering what has been described as a "knock," the 25-year-old missed Spurs' next two games against Copenhagen and Manchester United.

The Tottenham winger has spent the international break recovering after not being selected for the Ghana squad. Kudus is now just over a week away from missing an entire month of football following his £55m move to Spurs from West Ham.

The longest Kudus has ever been out with injury is 84 days. This was when he suffered a rib fracture while playing for Ajax. But with so much uncertainty regarding his current condition, football.london has taken a look at the latest news surrounding the Ghanaian international.

What has been said about Kudus' injury?

Frank gave an update on Kudus during a press conference on Friday, saying: "Kudus trained as well today. He's available."

Ahead of Tottenham's kick-off against Copenhagen earlier this month, Frank said: "Unfortunately Kudus couldn't make it. He's got a knock. Djed is ready but it's positive that Destiny [Udogie] can start."

A week on from Kudus first being sidelined with injury, Frank was asked about his condition ahead of Spurs' clash with Manchester United.

The Spurs manager said: "Yes, everyone came through well, so it's good. We'll say the ones that have been out for a small spell, Cuti and Dest, responded well so fit and available. Kudus is touch and go for tomorrow, we'll see."

Regarding Kudus being dropped from the Ghana squad, Frank said he was "very confident" that his winger "should be available for the next one."

Will Kudus be fit to face Arsenal in Gameweek 12?

The official Fantasy Premier League website gives Kudus a 50% chance of playing. The 25-year-old is currently selected by 19.9% of managers and has racked up 45 total points this season.

Following Frank's quotes on Kudus' recovery ahead of the clash with Man United, almost half a million managers transferred Kudus out of their team.

Whether Kudus is fit or not, the Tottenham forward may struggle for points this weekend as they come up against the toughest defence in the league.

Arsenal have conceded just five goals in the Premier League this season. Their record is even better in the Champions League where, after their first four games, they haven't let a single goal in.

However, this isn't to say Spurs have no chance of scoring. Frank's side have scored 19 goals this season — the fourth highest in the league.

The new Spurs boss will hope he can give the club their first win at the Emirates since 2010, when Arsene Wenger's Gunners fell 3-2 to Harry Redknapp's side.
