Brennan Johnson’s latest social media post received a reaction from Morgan Gibbs-White after rumours of a potential Tottenham switch this summer.

The 25-year-old has seriously impressed over the last three seasons at Nottingham Forest, notching another seven goals and eight assists in 38 appearances in 2025/26.

Man City, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all said to be involved in the race for the playmaker’s signature, but Daily Mail journalist Tom Collomosse has tipped Tottenham to target a move for Gibbs-White.

Spurs are in a period of change following Ange Postecoglou’s sacking and the appointment of Thomas Frank from Brentford, but Daniel Levy‘s side are still playing Champions League football next term.

While no official interest has been reported, moves for Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa in North London would suggest a new transfer tactic, and Gibbs-White would be a sensational signing for the Lilywhites.

Teammates Archie Gray, Djed Spence, Dominic Solanke, and Lucas Bergvall all liked the post, but it was Gibbs-White’s reaction that will have caught fans’ attention on social media.

Micky van de Ven’s words to the media would suggest an unrest within the squad, with Levy facing a toxic outbreak following the decision to sack Postecoglou despite winning the Europa League.

Although the owner has since broken his silence on the situation, supporters are continuously frustrated by his cowardly actions, and few fans are convinced that Frank can do a better job next season.

Multiple new signings could be needed to replace the likes of Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro, Dejan Kulusevski, and even James Maddison, and Football Insider understands that Tottenham could have a £70million offer for Antoine Semenyo accepted.

Football Insider also understands that Tottenham could accept an offer for Son Heung-min, though the club’s tour of South Korea is likely to delay any decision on the forward’s future.

It could be quite a difficult summer for Frank, having only just arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he knew what he was signing up for when speaking with Levy.

Spurs suffered from extremely poor form in the Premier League last term, finishing 17th in the table, and only relegation to the Championship could make that any worse next season.
