One of our leaders, Pedro made 47 appearances in all competitions last season – the most in the squad - and was particularly impressive in Roberto De Zerbi's seven matches in the crucial final weeks of the campaign.

That took the flying full-back's tally to 152 appearances since arriving in January 2023 and he has been a model of consistency during his time in N17.

Sporting Director, Johan Lange, said: “Securing Pedro's future was an important priority for us this summer.

“During the past three-and-half years, he has made huge progress to become one of the best full-backs in the game, and the fact he is about to play in the World Cup for Spain is testament to that.

“Pedro is at an age where he can provide leadership and experience, while still having room for further development.

“His character, work ethic and quality are exactly what we look for when building a squad capable of competing at the highest level and we are delighted that he has chosen to continue his journey with the Club.”

Head Coach, Roberto De Zerbi, said: “Pedro is a very important player for us, who has consistently shown his ability to influence matches in both defensive and attacking situations.

“As well as his technical quality, I also love his mentality. Every day he wants to work, to learn and to improve, and these are the characteristics that help players reach the highest level.

“He understands football in a very intelligent way, and brings energy, intensity and personality to the team.

“This new contract is good news for everyone at the Club. We believe in Pedro, and I am excited to continue working with him and helping him achieve even more in the coming years.”

Initially joining us on loan from Sporting CP at the end of the winter 2023 transfer window, Pedro made 17 appearances in the second half of that campaign before his move was made permanent.

An impressive first full season at the Club followed, where he was the perfect fit for the system, stepping into midfield from right-back and returning three goals and seven assists in 35 Premier League starts. He also won our Official Supporters' Club’s vote for Goal of the Season for a thunderbolt in the FA Cup against Burnley.

Pedro was key again as we tasted glory in the UEFA Europa League in 2024/25, featuring in 13 of our 15 matches and scoring a crucial semi-final second leg goal at Bodo/Glimt that secured our place in the final. He went on to start in the final as we lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy against Manchester United in Bilbao.

On the international stage, Pedro is now up to 18 senior caps for Spain and a regular in their set-up. He was involved in Spain's victorious UEFA Nations League campaign in the summer of 2025 and is currently part of Luis de la Fuente's 2026 World Cup squad.
