Erik was back in N17 for the first time after five years away when he was our special guest for Saturday's Premier League clash against Brighton.
It was time to reminisce with the popular Argentine winger who certainly gave his all on his way to 37 goals in 257 appearances in all competitions between 2013 and 2021.
Joining us from AS Roma, Erik made his debut in the north London derby at the Emirates on 1 September, 2013 - taking Legacy Number 788 - and overcame a serious back injury to play a huge part in our revival under Mauricio Pochettino in 2014/15 and 2015/16. Injured again for 2016/17, Erik was a consistent figure in his final four seasons, including nine appearances on our way to the UEFA Champions League Final in 2019.
Erik always gave his all - and delivered some memorable moments along the way - goals against Manchester City and United at the Lane, City again at the Etihad, a hat-trick against Monaco in the Europa League and, of course, 'rabonas' against Asteras Tripolis and Arsenal - the latter winning FIFA's Puskas Award in 2021.
