Tottenham have a decision to make regarding the future of Mikey Moore
Tottenham finally have the chance to commence their business in the transfer window now that the managerial situation at N17 is sorted out. The Lilywhites have a lot to cover and need to address some of the problems persisting within the walls of the club as they look to build on the Europa League success next season.
That does not mean that Spurs should only look to sign players in the summer. It also means that the Lilywhites must cash-in on underperforming or fringe players before next season commences. The Thomas Frank era cannot afford to have players that look out of place while playing for the North London club.
Last season saw Tottenham rely on a lot of young talents to bail the club out of difficult situations. Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and to some extent Mikey Moore played a significant role in helping the club get through crucial games in the Premier League and in Europe. Now, the Lilywhites must focus on sorting out their futures before it gets too late in the transfer window.
Tottenham talent Mikey Moore is linked with a Juventus move
Tottenham are preparing to revamp their squad in the summer, and Mikey Moore seems to be one of the players that will face the axe as the Lilywhites kickstart a new era at N17. It was reported earlier that the England U-21 international is linked with a move to Juventus as the Serie A giants look to target young talents to bolster their squad for next season.
However, ex-Spurs player Paul Robinson believes that Tottenham should ask for a premium fee to let the 17-year-old leave. Speaking to Tottenham News, Robinson said,
“It’s got to be north of £50million for his exit, I think, because of the potential that the young lad’s got. For Tottenham now it’s the same as every other club, it’s the FFP and PSR, and that would represent 100 per cent profit and give them an opportunity to go into the transfer market and get a ready-made Champions League player.”
The ex-player added,
“If you are to sell him, the buyback clause has to go in there, there has to be a first refusal or a price already agreed for a buyback clause.”
Paul Robinson suggests that Tottenham should slam an asking price north of £50m on Mikey Moore due to the youngster’s immense potential. The ex-player added that Spurs should consider the PSR and the FFP rules, and hike up the asking price for the 17-year-old as he would represent a pure profit in the account books. Robinson also suggests that the money received from Mikey Moore’s sale would then be used to bring in a quality replacement for next season.
