Reports in Brazil have repeatedly linked Vasco da Gama’s Rayan with a move to Tottenham. Now, Nottingham Forest are also emerging as a suitor for the versatile attacker.

Earlier this week, Calciomercato.it reported the player is keen on playing in Europe, with Italian clubs in the mix. Rayan has already rejected approaches from Saudi Arabia.

AS Roma and AC Milan are the Serie A clubs most keen right now.

Now, Calciomercato.it cover interest from Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Chelsea. They claim that English clubs have watched the 19-year-old on more than one occasion.

Rayan’s contract at Vasco da Gama runs until 31st December 2026. He has a €40m release clause but the Brazilian club are trying to renew his deal.

The player, who wants to be in the top leagues of Europe, opened up to Porto. It was Vasco da Gama rejected the Portuguese club, who wanted to pay just €12m.

The report claims that an auction for the teenager can take place in January. Nottingham Forest and Tottenham might have to pay €20-30m but this doesn’t faze them.

This will prove to be a problem for Milan, who will struggle to meet that asking price.

Tottenham are ahead of Nottingham Forest, having already spoken to the player’s entourage.
