Oliver Glasner refused to answer questions about the Tottenham manager job during a press conference following Crystal Palace's defeat to Burnley
Oliver Glasner was left furious after a reporter questioned him about the Tottenham Hotspur job. The 51-year-old has been touted as a potential successor to the recently dismissed Thomas Frank.
The Crystal Palace boss has previously been linked with the Manchester United job, speculation which intensified when he declared his plans to depart Selhurst Park at the season's end. As it stands, the Austrian intends to stay put until the campaign concludes.
Despite making this known, he continues to field questions about reports connecting him to other roles. While these questions likely irritate him at the best of times, he was astounded when a reporter asked him about replacing Frank, straight after Palace's disappointing home loss to Burnley.
A double from January recruit Jorgen Strand Larsen seemed to set the Eagles on course for back-to-back victories. However, a chaotic eight-minute spell saw Hannibal Mejbri and Jaidon Anthony score for the Clarets, before Jefferson Lerma netted an own goal just before the break.
Palace failed to bounce back from their first-half collapse and ultimately lost the match. In the post-match press conference, a journalist posed a question to Glasner about the Tottenham job.

Rather than delivering a verbal rebuke, a "furious" Glasner shot the questioner "a stern look" before "shaking his head," in disgust. He then refused to address the question regarding the Spurs vacancy.
Given how Palace surrendered their advantage against Scott Parker's team, the enquiry only intensified his frustration. Palace are languishing in 13th position on 32 points, but having occupied European qualification spots before Christmas, it represents a dramatic decline.

Whilst he declined to discuss the Spurs position, he did respond to a question about whether his decision to depart at the season's end is affecting his squad. He said: "I will not question their [the players] character, because I mention it so often, and I know them.
"It's a good, fantastic group of players, awesome. Awesome to work with them but it happened a few times. Then we get nervous, and we lose the structure and the second half at Nottingham, one player up, we have to win now, we have to win now.
"And then we get nervous, making mistakes, wrong decisions. We all know this when you're not calm, when you're not in your balance, you don't make good decisions.
"There could be many excuses, but I don't have. With excuses, maybe we can explain it, with what you are telling. But in the end, it is a huge missed chance to come closer to the midfield."
Following their FA Cup exit at the hands of Macclesfield, Palace's next fixture arrives on Thursday February 19 when they face Zrinjski in the Europa Conference League.
