You have chosen Olivia Holdt as your HSBC Player of the Match after she starred in Sunday’s 2-1 win at Leicester City in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
In a poll run exclusively on the Spurs Official App, Olivia claimed the majority of your votes to take the award for the first time this campaign.
Having completed her first full pre-season with the Club, after joining us in January from Rosengard, the Denmark international was beaming with confidence on the pitch and she was at the heart of our victory at the King Power as we returned to winning ways in the WSL.
After Cathinka Tandberg fired us ahead on 15 minutes, Olivia doubled our advantage just six minutes later with a sublime finish, scooping the ball over the advancing Janina Leitzig to make it two goals in consecutive WSL games for our number 11.
Her ability to glide past defenders was also on full show under the sun in Leicester, which included a charging run from inside her own half, evading three of the Foxes’ defenders, before setting up Bethany England inside the opposition’s box.
And while she was influential in the attacking areas for us, Olivia also showed her willingness to help her side put in a resilient defensive performance in the second period, winning 67% of her duels, before making way on 80 minutes for Martha Thomas.
