Tottenham star Pedro Porro will be a part of the Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Pedro Porro played a crucial role in Tottenham Hotspur avoiding the drop from the Premier League. He played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over Everton on the final day of the season.

The Spaniard was one of the club’s best performers under Roberto De Zerbi, finishing the campaign strongly. He made 47 appearances in all competitions, registering two goals and six assists.

One of Spurs’ most consistent performers over the last few years, it is not surprising that Pedro Porro has been linked with a move away from N17. Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have shown an interest in signing the right-back. Barcelona, too, are keen on the Tottenham star, who still has two years left on his contract.

Pedro Porro makes an admission about his Tottenham future

After helping the Lilywhites preserve their Premier League status, Porro has now opened up about his future. The defender insists he’s not even considered a move away from Spurs as his focus was entirely on helping the club achieve its objective under De Zerbi.

“I have a contract with Tottenham,” Porro said in an interview with Onda Cero Extremadura (h/t Mundo Deportivo).

“I haven’t even had time to glance over. We’ve been focused until the last minute. I don’t want to hear anything; I want to switch off and enjoy myself.”

This should be pleasing to hear for Tottenham officials and fans. Porro gave everything to the club’s cause, and that saw him being rewarded with a place in the Spain squad for the upcoming World Cup. He was one of the first names on De Zerbi’s teamsheet, and given his experience, leadership and ability to make an impact at both ends of the pitch, the Tottenham boss would want to keep hold of the Don Benito-born star.
