Pedro Porro's private life and allegation of cheating with ex-Chelsea star's girlfriend
Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has been one of Spain's standout performers at the World Cup, but his life off the field has also made headlines
Tottenham Hotspur's Pedro Porro is one of the standout defenders at the World Cup this summer. The 26-year-old has arguably been the best right-back at the tournament since replacing Marcos Llorente after Spain's dismal 0-0 opening game draw with Cape Verde.
Porro has stepped up and contributed by playing the entirety of five out of the six matches, during which he has scored two goals. One of those came in the semi-final victory over France, where he earned a man of the match award for his heroics.
Whatever the result in the final against Argentina, this will undoubtedly go down as his breakout tournament, with Spurs likely receiving considerable interest in their full-back once it concludes.
Now, Mirror Football takes a look at Porro's equally fascinating life beyond the pitch, specifically his current girlfriend and allegations of an affair involving another famous footballer's partner, which he was forced to deny.

Affair rumours
In 2022, Porro denied reports that he was romantically involved with Joao Felix's then-partner, Margarida (Magui) Corceiro. At the time, Porro was playing football for Sporting Lisbon, where actress Corceiro and then-Atletico Madrid star Felix were from.
The stunning model, who would later go on to start a relationship with future F1 world champion Lando Norris in 2023, fuelled speculation that she had been unfaithful to Felix with Porro after allegedly being spotted kissing the full-back in the VIP section of a Lisbon nightclub — while still in a three-year relationship with the Portugal striker.
The previous day, Porro had already set tongues wagging by ignoring several young Sporting supporters at the end of the final fixture of the season to hand his match-worn shirt directly to Corceiro, before pulling her in for a hug.
Porro, who was single at the time, shot down claims that Sporting fan Corceiro had been unfaithful, yet oddly admitted that he shared a "special relationship" with the stunning blonde. He said: "The situation that is happening yesterday and today is very uncomfortable... I have a special relationship with her, no one is being unfaithful to anyone.
"My image is not going to be stained by anything and less by things like these. I can do whatever I want. Stop staining the image of the three of us because it is not like that."
Corceiro herself insisted the two were nothing more than close friends, having first crossed paths several months earlier at a group dinner. She was adamant that, had she wished to be unfaithful, she would not have done so in full view of an entire nightclub.
"If I wanted to be kissing someone, in an intimate moment, it would not be in Lust In Rio, much less in the VIP area with that little balcony and in view of the entire nightclub," she said when asked about the allegations. "I also don't understand why those gentlemen who took the initiative to record that video and report it in such a nice way didn't remember to record me talking and hugging the other people who were there, the other guys, the players.
"Because if we want to talk about Magui Corceiro always with the players, and that this is a scene, there was a lot of material." Corceiro then followed up on her furious response with a very blunt and categorical statement of: "There were no kisses, there was nothing."
She continued: "I have just begun to understand the proportions that this is taking. It's getting out of control, and it's leaving me in a very boring position, and Joao too. On the one hand, I feel ridiculous for giving justifications to people who don't know me at all, but you guys are not understanding what's going on.
"This is being surreal, the messages that they are sending, they are sending death threats... people are crazy. I met Porro a few months ago unexpectedly at a group dinner and since then we have had a great time, we are very good friends, I love him, he is incredible and the people who know him know him very well."
Felix and Corceiro officially announced their breakup in June 2023, with the forward having moved to Chelsea that January. Following an unsuccessful loan spell at AC Milan, Felix joined Saudi club Al-Nassr in 2025.
Girlfriend's World Cup support
Porro drew a line under the entire episode after completing his move to Spurs in January 2023. Since late 2023, he has been in a relationship with Maria Hurtado.
In September 2025, the pair welcomed their first child together, a baby boy. Porro reportedly also helps raise Hurtado's daughter from a previous relationship. The brunette beauty lives with the Spurs star in north London, where she regularly shares fashion and lifestyle snaps on Instagram.
She has amassed 22,500 followers on the platform and has shared numerous pictures of herself cheering on Porro at his World Cup games this summer alongside her children. Porro appeared to dedicate his goal against France to her with a love heart-shaped hand gesture.
Hurtado shared a photo of the celebration, together with pictures of the couple sharing a kiss after the final whistle, with the caption: "We are so proud of you. One more step and no matter what, you've already made history," along with a love heart.
