Salford’s semi-final second leg against Grimsby Town ended 2-2 after extra time, with the hosts progressing 4-3 on aggregate.

Ex-Spur Kallum Cesay bagged a 117th-minute equaliser on the night for Salford to clinch their place in the final, with defender Alfie coming on in the closing moments of extra time to help see the game out.

Central midfielder Tyrese wasn’t involved for Notts County as they edged past Chesterfield with a goalless draw that sent them through 1-0 on aggregate.

If selected, Alfie and Tyrese could now find themselves on opposite sides when Salford meet Notts County at Wembley on Monday week with a place in the third tier up for grabs.

Elsewhere, Mikey Moore signed off from his season-long loan at Rangers by providing the assist for their opening goal in a 5-2 victory at Falkirk on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder set up Youssef Chermiti inside two minutes for the first of his three goals as Danny Rohl’s men ended a four-game losing streak to finish the season on a winning note. Mikey played 80 minutes before being withdrawn on what was his 47th appearance of the campaign. He has scored seven goals for the Ibrox side over the course of 2025/26.

Luka Vuskovic was also in action on Saturday as his Hamburg side rounded off their German Bundesliga campaign with a 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen. Luka played the full game, finishing the season with 30 appearances and six goals to his name.
