According to a claim in the Turkish media, Yves Bissouma will extend his contract with Tottenham Hotspur to get his move to Galatasaray.

The Mali international has been linked with the Super Lig champions in the past week and yesterday it was reported he’d agreed personal terms. Sabah today report on the latest developments regarding his proposed move to Istanbul, and claim Gala want to loan the central midfielder with an option to purchase.

However, the 28-year-old has just under 12 months remaining on his current deal and would have to extend his contract with the Premier League side for another season in order that this offer is accepted.

Again, it’s reported the former Brighton man has agreed to a salary of €3m a season and there are some claims in the Turkish press that he could be travelling to Istanbul this week.

Galatasaray have time on their side, with the Super Lig window remaining open until mid-September.

Bissouma made 44 appearances last season, but has yet to feature for Spurs in this campaign. A loan seems an optimistic scenario for Galatasaray, and it remains to be seen whether they’ll have to offer something firmer.
