Hello and welcome to coverage from the Premier League’s 3pm matches.
Under-fire Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is well aware of the need to win over the club’s disgruntled fans and knows victories are the key.
Spurs host a side on Saturday whose head coach is equally feeling the heat in Nuno Espirito Santo’s relegation-threatened West Ham.
Fan group Change for Tottenham will protest before West Ham’s visit, but Frank’s future looks secure for now, with chief executive Vinai Venkatesham firmly behind the Danish coach, who this week welcomed Conor Gallagher’s arrival in a £34.7mdeal.
“Of course it’s important, it’s very important (because) connecting is key,” said Frank, whose side are 14th in the Premier League.
“I think I’m quite good at connecting with people, actually, so that’s one thing, but I also know in football there is one way of connecting and that is winning.
“So, when we start winning enough and we also start creating even more chances than we have done, which I’m not in doubt of - there is sign in the right direction of that - then I am quite convinced we will connect better and better. I’m not in doubt of that.”
Elsewhere, Chelsea are looking to bounce back from defeat to Arsenal in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final when in-form Brentford make the short trip across across west London on Saturday.
It will be Rosenior’s first Premier League match in charge since replacing Enzo Maresca and sees Chelsea seeking what would be just a second league victory in 10.
“It’s been chaos but it’s been enjoyable chaos,” said Rosenior. “It’s been challenging, not just for me but for my staff. To meet not just the players, we want to create a connection between the staff and everyone involved in the club. Getting to know the chef, getting to know everybody. It’s tiring but it’s enjoyable.”
At Anfield, Liverpool who are 11 matches unbeaten and fourth in the Premier League heading into their match against Burnley.
Manager Arne Slot said: “We haven’t put ourselves in the most ideal position, especially if you compare it to where we were after six games (they won their first seven in all competitions).
“The reality is we are competing against these teams for the fourth position. There is still a lot for us to play for in the league.”
We will also be keeping a close eye on Leeds United vs Fulham and Sunderland vs Crystal Palace.
