'King is an incredible player'
FT: Fulham 1-1 Newcastle
Fulham
Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "You always want to win, especially at home. We knew how difficult it was going to be against Newcastle and you could feel from the start that, for them, it was like a final.
"They were very, very aggressive. They're a very physical team, they were marking us man-to-man. I think we did a very good first half, we controlled the game, had very good chances but the second half was more open, chances for both teams.
"It's unbelievable because we concede another amazing goal from outside the box, with the left foot... it's incredible. But we responded really, really well and could draw the game and have another good chance with Ryan Sessegnon.
"It's another point, we wanted to win the game but it is what it is and we need to continue working hard."
On Rodrigo Muniz scoring: "He's doing really well in training sessions. When he played in the Carabao Cup, he's working really hard. The game was for him because they were very aggressive and we were playing so many long balls, Rodrigo is very strong in these situations and did very well.
"He scored a goal and created many good chances."
On Josh King coming off: "I think [he is OK], I think it is nothing serious. We'll see tomorrow. I think he deserves [his England call-up]. How he's performing is unbelievable, 19 years old, he wants the ball. His character, his ambition and I think he's an incredible player."
'Something to really build on'
FT: Fulham 1-1 Newcastle
Newcastle United
Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "A step in the right direction after the last performance. That's something we can really build on.
"I think there were occasions also to win that game. Of course, the disallowed goal, a soft one, I would say. I see it different then also a big chance at the end.
"Then you should go home with three points but one point and a performance is something we can work on."
On Jacob Murphy's goal: "A brilliant goal and, in general, a great performance. Really solid defensively, he did his job, and offensive-wise, with such a goal, a great evening for him."
On his yellow card: "Not understandable really. I was shouting at my player that he should get up because if we can lose him for one minute at a decisive moment of the game, yeah, he should get up.
"Only when he is really injured can I understand it. The referee then gives me the yellow card. That's strange."
On Dan Burn's disallowed goal: "Do you think it's a foul? In the Premier League? No."
On international break: "It's now time to reflect and recharge also with a long season ahead of us, then pull out the things we need to improve and there are a couple of aspects.
"But today showed a clear direction in the right way so we can build on that."
