Tottenham Hotspur are back in action with a London derby for their second official pre-season friendly match of the summer.
Spurs ran up a 5-1 victory in Edinburgh against Heart of Midlothian on Wednesday evening with goals from Brennan Johnson, Will Lankshear, Mikey Moore and Djed Spence and an own goal forced by Ashley Phillips. That followed a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hotspur Way last Saturday against League One side Cambridge United which finished 7-2 across the two halves.
New signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall impressed during the victory in Scotland and the 18-year-old duo will be involved again as Ange Postecoglou takes his team across the capital for another friendly against QPR before Spurs head off on their tour to Japan and South Korea to face matches against Vissel Kobe, K League All Stars and Bayern Munich.
Up first are Championship side QPR, who finished 18th in the table last season, and Marti Cifuentes' side will continue to test Postecoglou's men's fitness as they look to increase their levels ahead of the coming Premier League campaign.
