Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action on Sunday, with Thomas Frank’s men hosting Aston Villa.

Spurs have started the new campaign well, with Tottenham signing Xavi Simons and a host of other players over the summer and looking much improved in 2025-26.

Three points against an inconsistent Villa side would further Tottenham’s hopes of a top-four finish and help build momentum ahead of a busy fixture schedule.

And Tottenham fans could well be treated to a new signing making his Premier League debut in lilywhite.

Kolo Muani ready to contribute

Tottenham signed Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain late in the transfer window, with the France international labelled by Frank as a ‘quality player’ at the time.

However, the versatile forward has been limited to only one substitute appearance so far for his new club, which came in the 1-0 Champions League win over Villarreal last month.

Kolo Muani has been struggling with a dead leg, but with the former Juventus attacker training throughout the international break, he looks set to be available to feature against Villa.

Through the middle or out wide?

In the absence of the injured Dominic Solanke, Brazilian striker Richarlison or Mathys Tel have been leading the line for Spurs this season.

However, Kolo Muani provides a different option for Spurs in the centre forward role – one that brings energy and a willingness to run in-behind defences.

The Frenchman is versatile enough to play in a wide position and Frank may be tempted to try him on the left wing against Villa.

Kolo Muani’s experience and goal record should mean Tottenham fans are excited to see him in action – but just where the PSG loanee features will be very interesting viewing.
