Former Rangers loanee Mikey Moore has been urged to “make a decision” on his future as several clubs circle for the talented Tottenham Hotspur youngster’s signature this summer.
Moore, 18, moved to Ibrox on a season-long loan from Spurs last summer, and quickly became a fan favourite at Ibrox after establishing himself as a key player under former head coach Danny Rohl, bagging six goals and assisting a further three, and many Rangers supporters had hoped the club could extend his stay for another year.
After winning the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year last season, the England youth international has emerged as serious target for a number of top clubs on the continent though, with Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven and FC Koln are thought to be mulling over a deal for the youngster - and former Tottenham favourite Chris Waddle believes their interest likely ends Rangers’ hope of bringing him back to Govan for a second spell.

“If Dortmund come calling for Mikey Moore then they'll get him won’t they?” said Waddle. “He needs to make a decision on his career and it looks like he's not going to get into the Tottenham team. So he needs to say, 'I need to get to a club and build a future.’ If he has the opportunity to go to Dortmund, he’s got to go.”
Speaking at the end of last season, Moore himself admitted he was still waiting to see where new manager Roberto De Zerbi saw his immediate future in North London, following the Italian’s appointment in March. “There's a new manager at Spurs at the moment,” said Moore.
“Obviously I'm a Spurs player, so we'll have to see what he says about me, what he wants me to do, what the people around me want me to do. I think that's all I can say at the moment. I'm going to go back there and see what the new people say in the building and from there I'll make a decision."
However, with the transfer window set to close in just over a month, Waddle believes Moore should seriously consider a move to Dortmund if they are interested, with his former England Under-18 teammates Jobe Bellingham and Carney Chukwuemeka having taken similar paths.
“We've seen a lot of players who've gone to Dortmund, moved on to other Bundesliga clubs or even Bayern Munich, or gone to Spain,” Waddle told OLBG. “Dortmund is a club that looks after young talent. If you do well, you know they’ll sell you for a significant fee, you can be sure of that. Many players have gone down that avenue, so it’s a good route to take. But if he speaks to the management and asks about his future, and he’s told he won’t be in the team, then he needs to move on. If Dortmund are willing to buy him, I think that would be a great move for him.”
