Tottenham Hotspur have been told to make up their mind on Rangers’ standout Mikey Moore this summer or risk losing him following his eye-catching season on loan at Ibrox.

Moore, 18, moved to Rangers on a season-long loan from the North London club last summer, and quickly established himself as a key player under head coach Danny Rohl, scoring six goals and assisting a further three since the German’s appointment in October. Many supporters have urged the club to extend his stay.

Named the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year last week, Rangers boss Rohl had also previously confessed that he’d be keen to keep the teenager if at all possible, with another loan move mooted in recent months. “Let's see what we can do,” said Rohl in February. “I think this is something to consider in the following weeks. Mikey feels really good here, and you see the relationship between him and the fans. He likes the club.”

Fellow midfielder, Alfie Devine, has also been linked with a move to the Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic following his impressive season on loan to EFL Championship outfit Preston North End. The 21-year-old is reported to be on the shortlist of targets at Parkhead this summer, with Celtic manager Martin O’Neill believed to have personally scouted the player during The Whites’ 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers last month.

Decisions are looming for Spurs on both academy graduates this summer, and former England striker and TV pundit Alan Smith believes they may look to depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if new manager Roberto De Zerbi can’t offer them regular senior football in North London.

“Spurs have just got to make a decision on whether you think these lads are good enough,” Smith told BestBettingSites.co.uk. “Just because they’ve come through the ranks, you’re not going to keep them for the sake of it. You’ve invested a lot of time and effort into them to develop. But it’s a high bar to get into the first-team of the Premier League club.

“So, if they don’t think they’re quite good enough, these lads will want to go off and earn a living somewhere else and make a name for themselves. The Scottish Premiership is a decent place to do it and it can be a stepping stone, can’t it? These lads if they go there and do well. Clubs back in the Premier League or elsewhere will be looking at them.”
