Oliver Glasner had no intention of resting any of his key players in their final Premier League clash before the FA Cup Final next Saturday.
Crystal Palace ran out 2-0 winners at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with Greenwich-born Eberechi Eze netting both goals.
The Eagles head to Wembley this Saturday in a shootout against Manchester City in search of their first ever major piece of silverware.
But Glasner played a full-strength side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“To stay in the rhythm is the most important thing,” said Glasner.
“It’s different for Tottenham. They played on Thursday evening and we played Monday evening.
“It’s more risky and dangerous not to play players from last Monday until next Saturday, as 12 days without a game and just training with a few days off, every football player knows you get all the fitness and confidence from games.
“That’s why we never thought about doing anything different from what we did.
“It was the same at Arsenal away [before the FA Cup semi-final]. We made three subs after 60 minutes.
“We had to do one different one because Jefferson Lerma felt a bit of pain in his ankle at half-time.
“That was the slight adjustment, but everything else worked as it should have.”
