The Tottenham Hotspur boss was a livewire as usual during the derby defeat at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night which prolonged the relegation battle
Roberto De Zerbi will be in the dugout for Tottenham's last Premier League game of the season on Sunday after ensuring he avoided a final day ban.
Spurs' defeat at Chelsea on Tuesday night ensured that the relegation battle will spill into the final day of the season with De Zerbi's men hosting Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as West Ham take on Leeds at the London Stadium 12 miles across the capital.
Tottenham lie two points above the Hammers going into the last fixture so Nuno Espirito Santo's side need to beat Leeds and hope that Everton overcome Spurs at the same time to stay up. It is going to be a huge day in N17 for Tottenham as they look to avoid their terrible Premier League season ending in utter disaster.
One positive is that De Zerbi will at least be in the dugout on Sunday after ensuring he escaped one of the quickest suspensions possible for a Premier League manager.
Managers get a one-game ban if they pick up three yellow cards and the Italian had received bookings in back-to-back home games for Spurs against Brighton and Leeds. That meant another one at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night would have seen the always animated De Zerbi banned from being involved on the touchline during the game against the Toffees on Sunday afternoon.

The Italian certainly had plenty of reasons to get upset on the touchline against Chelsea as well, with a string of controversial moments, including a penalty not given for a foul by Marc Cucurella on Micky van de Ven in the box, Djed Spence being elbowed in the face by Liam Delap and a last-gasp corner not awarded after Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez held on to the ball for far longer than the allotted eight seconds.
De Zerbi could be seen speaking to the fourth official Andy Madley throughout the game with his assistant Bruno Saltor also repeatedly getting a talking to from the official. At the end of the derby defeat the Tottenham boss made his feelings clear to the referee Stuart Attwell and his two assistants in the centre of the pitch but did not step over the line and get himself cautioned.
That means De Zerbi has escaped suspension this season and will be back in the home dugout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. He will be looking to continue his unbeaten start to life in the ground, which would be enough to keep Spurs in the Premier League.
