In recent days there has been talk of a potential Premier League move for Rafael Leao, more specifically to Spurs.
Leao’s future remains a bit of an enigma. After the 2025-26 season ended and before the World Cup begun, he publicly declared that he sees his time at Milan to be over after seven years, only to then walk things back a bit after the appointment of his compatriot Ruben Amorim.

After scoring a lovely goal against Uzbekistan and setting up new signing Goncalo Ramos for the winning goal against Croatia in the last-16, some began to think of the winger as having a role to play under Amorim after all.
However, the club’s stance in all of this seems to be clear: the management see the former Lille star’s time to be up and they are asking agent Jorge Mendes to find suitable accommodation, even if there haven’t been lots of offers forthcoming.
No Spurs talks
On his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano briefly discussed the rumours surrounding Leao, who was reported to be a target for Roberto De Zerbi and Sandro Tonali’s Tottenham Hotspur. His words are via MilanNews.
“Tottenham is interested in Gakpo, but it depends on Liverpool, who are currently not open to a sale. There are no negotiations between Tottenham and his agent regarding Rafa Leao, nor between Tottenham and Milan,” he said.
