Tottenham Hotspur have started to drop a fair number of points under Thomas Frank, and Sam Allardyce has noticed one big issue about their team.

Thomas Frank’s honeymoon period at Tottenham Hotspur appears to be over, with results and performances taking a hit over recent weeks.

The North London club were held to a 2-2 draw away in Bodo/Glimt, having been forced to come from two goals down to rescue a point.

There are now notable concerns among Spurs supporters regarding the team’s play, and Sam Allardyce has also expressed his own worries about Frank’s style.

Sam Allardyce questions Tottenham’s ability to score under Thomas Frank

Allardyce has questioned Tottenham’s ability to score under Frank and suggests that could be a real worry moving forward.

The Lilywhites have struggled to create chances over recent weeks, which has seen them drop points against Brighton, Wolves and Bodo.

Speaking about Frank at Tottenham, Allardyce told Tippy Tappy Football: “Tottenham. I think Thomas Frank is brilliant at what he does. But you know, will they score enough goals?

“Have they got enough goals? That’s probably one of the things that I’d be concerned about.”

Tottenham lost 50 goal contributions from last season over the summer, with Son Heung-min leaving for LAFC and both Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison suffering long-term injuries.

Then you add Dominic Solanke’s injury into the mix, and it is quite evident why Spurs are having issues scoring goals and creating chances.

Spurs will hope that once Solanke returns and Kulusevski also returns in the latter stages of 2025, this should help ease their worries about a lack of goals.

Thomas Frank on how he feels about Tottenham in attack

After the 2-2 draw with Bodo, Frank said that he is confident Spurs will improve in creating chances and in their patterns of play over time.

The Lilywhites had eight attempts to Bodo’s 18, and meanwhile, the team’s striker Richarlison had just ten touches of the ball.

Speaking about Tottenham’s ability to keep possession against Bodo, Frank told TNT Sports: “I think the first half, we definitely could have kept the ball a bit better. I don’t think it was only Richarlison.

“Probably a little bit of the structure of the team where we could have kept the ball in situations, but I’m not in doubt that it will improve.”
