Ever since the 2025-26 season ended, it has seemed that Savinho’s future lies away from Manchester City. The Brazilian international has flattered to deceive too often with his performances. Savinho’s talent and potential are clear to see. However, he hasn’t consistently performed for City. It has now been reported that Tottenham is making a strong move to sign Savinho. It seems that it is now a matter of time before Savinho leaves Manchester City.
Tottenham are making progress in their bid to sign Savinho.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham is making progress in its bid to sign Savinho from Manchester City this summer. Furthermore, Romano reports that Tottenham believes Savinho wants to complete a move to Roberto De Zerbi’s side. It is also reported that City could sell the Brazilian international if a good proposal arrives from Tottenham.
Savinho could be the first domino to fall in terms of who leaves Manchester City this summer.
It does appear like it could be a busy summer for Manchester City in terms of players leaving the club. Tijjani Reijnders, Mateo Kovacic, Nathan Ake, Nico Gonzalez and James Trafford all could depart. Bernardo Silva and John Stones have already left the club. There could be a big turnover at City as they embark on a new era without Pep Guardiola as manager.
Savinho could be one of the first players to leave City this summer. It seems his potential move to Tottenham is accelerating quickly. It is probably for the best that Savinho does leave Manchester City so he can be a first-team regular elsewhere. The Brazilian winger isn’t likely to get that opportunity at City given how he performed last season. Therefore, it seems like he is keen to leave City and that City will sell him if Tottenham can match their asking price.
Savinho’s potential move to Tottenham looks to be gathering pace. As long as Spurs meet Manchester City’s asking price, it does seem like Savinho could be one of the first players to leave City in what looms as a busy summer at the FA Cup and Carabao Cup holders.
