Tottenham Hotspur fans are far from happy after learning that the club have been offered £54 million for one of their most talented teenagers.

The North London club have managed to collect many major young talents and now, Thomas Frank gets the job of helping to nurture their potential.

Luka Vuskovic arrives at Tottenham this summer to add yet further reinforcement to their young, talented squad.

However, one of their teenage sensations is subject to offers from several major European clubs, but supporters think their offers are an insult.

Tottenham fans insulted by £54m enquiries for Lucas Bergvall

Several major clubs are prepared to pay around £54 million for Lucas Bergvall and have informed Tottenham Hotspur about their interest, according to Fotboll Direkt.

However, both Spurs and the midfielder are unwilling to entertain offers this summer and the matter is likely to be closed there.

Back in April, Bergvall signed a new contract until the summer of 2031 and the 19-year-old is expected to have the team built around him.

The midfielder exploded onto the scene in N17 and ended up playing such an important role in helping Spurs to win the Europa League.

Bergvall ended the season with 45 appearances under his belt and he won Tottenham’s Player of the Season award.

But now, with news of offers coming in for him worth around £54 million, Tottenham supporters have been furiously reacting on X.

One fan insisted that the offer was nowhere close to being his value: “Triple it, then we start talking.”

Meanwhile, another added: “Wonderkid, he could be one of the best if he keeps developing under Frank.”

There was further frustration at the news that clubs would be prepared to offer £54 million: “He can’t be priced on the same level as Tyler Dibling. He should be worth £100 million.”

Finally, another supporter said: “£54 million must be a mistake, surely they missed off a zero on that fee.”

Thomas Frank has already talked up Lucas Bergvall at Tottenham

Frank namechecked Bergvall when highlighting the young talents he must help develop after taking on the role as head coach of Spurs.

The Danish manager also listed Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert and Destiny Udogie as the best young players at the football club.

Frank added: “Of course, the younger ones as well, I think it’s all players that we need to develop and make perform at the highest level.

“But of course, Bergvall, Archie Gray, Odobert, Udogie, all of them have a high ceiling, and there are others I haven’t mentioned.”

Currently, Bergvall is recovering from an injury, and Spurs will be hoping that the teenager can recover in time for the UEFA Super Cup on August 13.

It’s more than likely that the Swedish international will be a key player under Frank and having him fit to face PSG will be so important for their hopes of winning.
