Dominic conceded afterwards, ‘I could probably have scored three goals’ but kept going, kept getting in the right areas and eventually, it paid off – he won the physical battle with Lisandro Martinez to glance home Sandro Tonali’s cross for our much-deserved equaliser with 92 minutes on the clock.
“I missed a few chances, could have had probably three goals, so I really wanted to get on the end of one,” Dominic told us. “When you’re a striker and you miss a few chances, it's easy to not want to keep getting in the right positions, but I wanted to keep going.
“I feel like when I miss a chance, I want to just make sure I get another one and make sure I put it right. So, yes, it's frustrating that we didn't win the game and I didn't score the winning goal, but like I mentioned, the situation that we were in in the end, I think to get a point from it is something that we can take positives from. It's obviously not a win, but it's something we can build on.”
As for being named captain for such a high-profile game, Dominic added: “That was a great moment for me, a moment I’ll remember forever, to be honest, captaining this great club at Old Trafford. Yeah, that’s not bad, is it?”
