Son Heung-min looks set to bring his illustrious spell with Tottenham Hotspur to an end, with a timescale now set for his departure.
The South Korean forward joined the Lilywhites from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015 and has since registered 173 goals and 101 assists in 454 appearances across all competitions.
Son has played in three cup finals for Tottenham, finally winning his first trophy with the club as he captained them to the Europa League title last season. Spurs have also finished in the Premier League top three on three occasions during his time with the club.
However, the forward’s performances did take a dip last season, with Son failing to register double-figure Premier League goals for the first time since his debut campaign in North London.
LAFC pushing for Son
Son has just one year left on his Spurs contract and recently turned 33 years old, with his prime now firmly behind him.
New boss Thomas Frank has taken steps to revitalise Tottenham’s forward line with the signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.

That will only serve to make Son’s life harder when trying to command a starting spot, and Spurs may not be done strengthening their attack this summer.
A change of scenery and a new challenge might be in order, and MLS outfit LAFC look set to offer him just that.
According to GIVEMESPORT (28 July), the Black and Gold have entered talks to sign Son, and they believe a deal is realistic toward the end of the summer window.
Spurs are also understood to be ready to sanction a deal this summer rather than at the end of his contract next year, but first, Son and Frank will meet to discuss his role in the side once the team returns to London from their pre-season tour of Asia.
Son is obligated to play in a friendly against Newcastle United on August 3 in South Korea with Spurs set to lose a large portion of commercial revenue if he doesn’t take part.
LAFC have been one of Major League Soccer’s most successful sides since their founding 10 years ago and have won an MLS Cup, US Open Cup and two Supporters’ Shields among other honours.
The likes of Gareth Bale, Olivier Giroud and Carlos Vela have called BMO Stadium home previously, while Son’s former Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris is their current No.1.
Mikey Moore nearing Rangers loan
Son isn’t the only wideman leaving Spurs this summer, with Mikey Moore also nearing an exit.
At just 17 years old, Moore is at the opposite end of his career to Son and is leaving Tottenham on loan rather than permanently.
The club left Moore, Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine out of their Asian squad in a bid to find new opportunities.
Moore has already landed one, with the teenage winger nearing a loan switch to Scottish giants Rangers.
Moore has notched one goal and two assists in 21 appearances at senior level for Spurs across all competitions so far, and dazzled at times last season with his speed and trickery.
Hopes are high that Moore can return to become a key member of Thomas Frank’s side following his spell north of the border.
Tottenham have endured a mixed pre-season so far, beating Reading 2-0 before draws against Wycombe (2-2) and Luton (0-0). Up next for the Lilywhites is a clash in Hong Kong against arch-rivals Arsenal.
