Tottenham striker Alejo Veliz is closing in on a return to Rosario Central, with all eyes now on Spurs waiting for them to confirm the switch.
That’s according to Olé, who report that the Argentine are dreaming of bringing Veliz back after securing Angel di Maria’s return to the club.
The belief is that they are not far off doing so either, with reports in Rosario that the only thing currently missing is final confirmation from Tottenham.
There is hope that they will do so soon and that an agreement is close. This is backed up by La Prensa, who report that Rosario are anxiously waiting for Veliz to return.
They also state that Veliz is waiting for authorisation from Tottenham to sign a one-year loan deal at the Argentine club, with everything else in place.
According to them, the transfer is subject to Tottenham’s approval. They don’t consider him a part of their plans at present after two unsuccessful loan spells in Spain.
A return to his former club is seen as the best option for him. The hope is that he can rediscover himself at his old club, where he was once a key player, and get back on track.
He’s made it clear he wants the move and now he and Rosario are waiting for Tottenham to sanction it. The only thing that could derail it is if Tottenham find a European team, they consider more suitable, which is yet to happen.
