It’s time once more for 3 Added Minutes’ regular morning round-up of the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours – and today, we kick-start our little digest with a story which might excite some Tottenham Hotspur fans.

While their bid for Eberechi Eze may have collapsed at the eleventh hour and their chances of signing Savinho are also looking slim, Spanish media outlet Defensa Central may have some good news – they claim that Spurs are now “the only remaining option” for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.

The Brazilian “isn’t in Xabi Alonso’s plans” and with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City all said to be withdrawing their interest (in some cases due to buying or keeping players that Spurs wanted) a path is opening up for Thomas Frank’s team to make a move.

There’s no suggestion that a formal offer has yet been made, but this report reckons that it would likely be an initial loan deal with a purchase clause which could be worth as much as €100m (£86.5m). Rodrygo himself is said to be “looking for an exit” and his representatives are working towards that, although his thoughts on Spurs specifically are unknown.

The 3AM Verdict: This would certainly be an exciting signing, and we do indeed believe that a move to anyone else in the Premier League presently looks very unlikely – that said, we haven’t yet seen clear evidence that Spurs will make a bid, either. Other targets, such as Maghnes Akliouche, are also firmly in the running and would cost considerably less.

Crystal Palace eye ambitious bid for player Newcastle wanted

Over to a story for Crystal Palace fans, now – journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that with their bid for Leicester City attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss “not progressing as well as [Palace] had hoped”, they are now turning their attention to Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino.

Indeed, it’s claimed that Palace have already lodged a €25m (£21.6m) bid for the Spaniard, although that was rejected by his current employers. The 22-year-old Pino, who was scouted by Newcastle earlier this year and has been linked with the Magpies on a few occasions, has 15 caps for Spain and signing him would be something of a coup for Palace.

Pino would be coming in as a replacement for Eze, so it may be that any deal is contingent on his transfer to Arsenal (which had not been confirmed at the time of writing). It’s also said that a deal for El Khannouss isn’t off the cards and the interest remains, but Palace are spreading their wings as negotiations with Leicester drag on.

The 3AM Verdict: The final price will be important, but signing Yeremy Pino would be very exciting for Palace – the young winger is a cut above and would surely be a pretty worthy replacement for Eze. One to keep an eye on with keen interest. We don’t believe that Newcastle will rekindle their interest as it stands.

Wolves reach agreement over fresh addition

Some good news for Wolverhampton Wanderers fans now to round things off – according to Sport Witness, who summarise several stories from the Spanish press, Wolves are “willing to meet” Girona’s asking price for Czechia international Ladislav Krejčí.

The 26-year-old Krejčí, who can play either as a central midfielder or as a centre-half, is valued at €30m (£26m) and Wolves have decided to meet that price – an offer that Girona will find “impossible” to turn down.

At least one report claims that Wolves have already tabled an offer of that amount and that it will be accepted – some “key hours” in negotiations between the clubs are said to lie ahead, but it looks like Vitor Pereira will get his man.

The 3AM Verdict: A number of reports are in unison on this one, which is normally a sign that we’re hearing the gospel truth – Krejčí seems to be very close to becoming a Wolves player, although we haven’t seen any mention of an agreement on personal terms as yet.
