Spurs issue fresh statement following takeover speculation
George Sessions
Friday 26 September 2025 14:17 BST
A consortium led by American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick launched a £4.5bn takeover bid for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs' majority owners, ENIC, unequivocally rejected the informal expression of interest, stating the club is not for sale.
The proposed £4.5bn package, which included £1.2bn for transfer funds, would have exceeded Todd Boehly's £4.25bn acquisition of Chelsea.
This rejection follows previous expressions of interest from other groups, which were also turned down by the club.
The Lewis family trust, controlling ENIC, remains committed to driving on-field success and supporting the club's new leadership, reiterating that the club is not for sale.
