A January arrival from BK Hacken earlier this year, the Sweden youth international was straight into the action as a Spurs player, making her debut for the Club just two weeks in – a 3-0 win over Leicester City in the Women’s FA Cup.
She certainly made her mark in that contest though as being introduced for the final quarter of the game at Brisbane Road, Matilda showcased tremendous speed and strength to beat a number of Foxes’ players before her shot was palmed away into the path of Lenna Gunning-Williams to tap home for our third goal of the afternoon.
Although she would only make four further appearances for 2025/26, three of those in the WSL, the 21-year-old has already turned her attention on the new campaign and how a full pre-season can be a ‘new start’ for her as a Spurs player.
“For me, really important,” when asked about her undergoing her first pre-season with the Club. “It's like a new start, like to play training games, I didn't even play one training game when I first came in and I was directly into it.”
There has been no better way to take part in your first pre-season than a performance camp in Southern Spain, providing a much-needed challenge on the pitch in warm weather conditions with temperatures consistently in the mid-30s during the sessions.
But it has also provided a unique opportunity to get to know her team-mates away from the pitch, notably using their downtime to take part in a number of board games with experienced players and Academy stars all getting involved together.
“It has been good,” Matilda told us, reflecting on the performance camp so far. “We played two games, so it was nice to get some minutes in the tank and I will also take with me all the good vibes from here.”
“It's nice to just get with the team for a long while [during pre-season] and now to be here [in Spain], to be around everyone and get to know people more, it has been really nice.”
So, who has Matilda been getting on the most during the performance camp so far?
“Oh, it's a hard one,” Matilda side. “I feel like I really like the new girls [that have arrived]. I think they're really funny and they just bring in good vibes, so I think I would say them.”
