We can confirm the starting line-up and substitutes for today’s Barclays Women’s Super League opener against West Ham at Brisbane Road (kick-off 12pm UK).
Martin Ho has made four changes from our final pre-season clash at Southampton last weekend as we embark on a new chapter in our Head Coach’s maiden outing at the helm.
Amanda Nilden and Clare Hunt come into the defence, with the latter partnering alongside Toko Koga in what is the Japan international’s competitive and home league debut for the Club as we play in front of our supporters for the first time in 2025/26.
In midfield, Eveliina Summanen and Olivia Holdt replace Maite Oroz and Kit Graham, who makes her first appearance in a WSL matchday squad in over 12 months after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
After a strong performance at Southampton last weekend, Araya Dennis is handed her WSL debut as she makes just her third appearance for the Club.
Summer signing Cathinka Tandberg, who joined us on Thursday from Hammarby IF, is named amongst the substitutes. Academy goalkeeper Sophie Jackson also makes her first appearance in a WSL matchday squad.
Starting XI: Kop, Nilden, Naz, England (c), Holdt, Rybrink, Hunt, Spence, Summanen, Dennis, Koga.
Substitutes: Heeps, Jackson, Grant, Oroz, Graham, Gunning-Williams, Tandberg, Ahtinen.
