Every player wants to play, so that feeling is normal. That’s not just me, all the players want to play. But sometimes you have to be patient and wait for your moment, and today it was a good game for me. I was back in the starting XI and I tried to do my best to help the team. That is always the most important thing. It’s always a little bit frustrating when you don’t play, but that’s part of football, you have to wait and keep working.
Sometimes, you just have to wait. Everybody wants to play, but sometimes when the team is getting good results, you have to wait. Then when you play, you just have to do your best. Today was a good game because I played for 90 minutes and I was very happy about that. I’m always ready to play, even if it’s ten or 15 minutes, you have to be ready to play. I was ready, and I’m very happy.
They are a tough challenge, in a great place with a great stadium. So another exciting challenge for the squad. It will be important to recover quickly, but they played the same time so they won’t have the advantage. Reset, recover properly and go again.
When you play a good game like that I think the mood is positive and it’s easier to recover quickly. So for the squad at the minute we were really frustrated after Leeds, for different reasons, but I still think it was a good point. Today the mood is a bit different, but we can’t be complacent it’s impossible, so let’s see.
I think [Regis Le Bris] has done fantastically. Very, very impressive. The first season in the Premier League, and also, as you say, with changing a lot of players. It's been very clear what they want to do. They understand that when you go up in the Premier League, you need to defend very well. They're very good on set-pieces. They're very good.
They fight, they run, and now they've got the confidence and done very well against a lot of teams, but also away from home. So it's going to be a tough test.
