Thomas Frank could be forced to make a major decision for Tottenham’s game against Chelsea after Cristian Romero was confirmed available.
In his press conference on Friday, Frank confirmed that Romero could play against Chelsea.
Tottenham take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday evening, as the Lilywhites are looking to bounce back from their Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night.
The London showdown is sure to be a feisty affair, as Frank will be looking to tactically outsmart Enzo Maresca, and Romero‘s late availability may force the Tottenham boss to shake things up dramatically.
Thomas Frank could play five at the back vs Chelsea
Romero is crucial to Tottenham and the Lilywhites’ success this season, and as their captain, he is almost certainly going to start.

The Argentina international boasts a pass completion rate of 89 per cent this season in the Premier League.
The problem, however, is that Kevin Danso has been brilliant for Tottenham, and with Micky van de Ven rested midweek, both look set to start against Chelsea.
Luckily for Tottenham, Frank’s actual preferred formation is using five at the back, seen during his time at Brentford, which could now be deployed against the Blues.
The late switch could throw Maresca and Chelsea off, and be key to unlocking the most out of Pedro Porro, who could be the difference maker in the game.
According to footystats, Thomas Frank has a career win percentage of 40.66, as most of his victories have come using five defenders.
The change could also be the turning point for Frank to find his best balance up top, as Tottenham have struggled with striker issues this term.
Brennan Johnson and Mohammed Kudus could start as strikers
Brennan Johnson has been criticised for performances on the right-wing, as most of the Welshman’s success has come from poacher-esc goals inside the box.
The former Nottingham Forest attacker is capable of playing as a striker and has played there before in his career, as Mohammed Kudus could be played just behind him in a 5-3-2 formation
Djed Spence is predicted to start at left-back, but the change could force Frank to play the England international at left-wing back.
Both Spence and Johnson formed an Iconic partnership, playing in the same 5-3-2 formation that Steve Cooper used to get Nottingham Forest promoted from the Championship.
Frank can benefit from using three centre-backs in so many areas, as the change may very well just happen.
