Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank could be set for a busy end to the transfer window as he tweaks his squad.

The new Premier League season is now just days away, and Tottenham Hotspur are hoping for an improvement.

Ange Postecoglou lost his job as Tottenham boss over the summer, as a poor Premier League record outweighed Europa League success.

Thomas Frank is on board and will surely want further new signings, with Tottenham preparing for life in the Champions League.

Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel turned their loan moves permanent, Kota Takai arrived from Kawasaki Frontale, and Tottenham snapped up Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.

More signings are needed, but Frank may also look to keep hold of some fringe players amid mounting interest elsewhere.

Thomas Frank on Antonin Kinsky

Goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky fits the bill, despite only joining Tottenham for £12.5million from Slavia Prague in January.

The Czech stopper came straight into the Spurs side with Guglielmo Vicario out of action, but lost his place once the Italian returned.

Kinsky finished the season with 10 appearances to his name and looks set to start the season as second-choice stopper behind Vicario.

Lille have been interested in signing Kinsky, though, with Spurs described in France as being ‘greedy’ over a potential loan deal.

Lille want Kinsky following Lucas Chevalier’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, but Tottenham appear to have shut down that potential domino effect.

Spurs boss Frank has now told Football London that he is ‘very pleased’ with Kinsky, and believes the 22-year-old is a ‘very good goalkeeper’.

Frank added a prediction, suggesting that Kinsky will have a ‘great future’ in the game, preferably with Tottenham, as the Dane made it clear that no Spurs exit will materialise.

“He’s a very good goalkeeper, very pleased with him,” said Frank. “We are privileged to have three good goalkeepers in Vicario, Antonin and Brandon. There was good competition last year. Clearly we need good keepers in the squad. Antonin, in my opinion, has a great future ahead of him and he is clearly a Tottenham player this season,” he added.

Rumours over Antonin Kinsky’s future could emerge again in 2026

Frank appears to have ruled out any departure for Kinsky this summer, meaning Lille must now look elsewhere.

Rumours are likely to re-emerge once more in 2026, though, with Kinsky expected to spend most of the season on the bench.

If that is the case, more clubs may fancy testing the water with a move to prise Kinsky away with the lure of first-team football.

It’s difficult to see Kinsky displacing Vicario any time soon, and Frank is certainly blessed to have such strong competition in goal.

Young goalkeepers are often only content with playing second fiddle for so long, though, and Kinsky may have his head turned by suitors if he can’t push for first-team action at Tottenham this season.
