Thomas Frank is taking his Tottenham Hotspur side north to face Leeds United and Daniel Farke at Elland Road in the Saturday lunchtime fixture in the Premier League.
Leeds United are on a 383-day unbeaten run at Elland Road, as of the Friday before facing Spurs. Not only that, but Daniel Farke is hoping to protect a strong managerial record against Tottenham.
He has won three and drawn two in his only five meetings with Thomas Frank as well. It all sounds positive when you consider it is a new-look Spurs team still finding its feet under Frank since his arrival from Brentford.
Tottenham’s creativity issues in attack offer Leeds hope, too. It’s part of the reason Alan Shearer is confident Leeds can take something against Spurs in front of the TNT Sports cameras.
Spurs manager Thomas Frank praises Daniel Farke and Leeds United
Others, such as Opta, believe Spurs have the stronger chance at Elland Road. But Ally McCoist is more positive about Leeds’ chances vs Spurs. It’s a battle between two managers who have huge respect for one another, though.
Farke praised Tottenham manager Frank yesterday, outlining his admiration. The Spurs boss has responded in kind to those quotes when speaking in his Friday press conference, via Tottenham Hotspur.
Frank said:”I think Leeds have done very well since they have got promoted. Elland Road is one of the best games to go to because the atmosphere is always great.
“Clearly, they have been very good at home. They give very little away in open play. It could be 90 minutes back and forth.”

On top of that, Frank also detailed his view of Farke. As posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Beren Cross, he said: “Happy he’s doing well and they got a good start and show how great their coach is and staff.
“We’re going to Elland Road, which I always admire as one of the best stadiums to go to because the atmosphere is fantastic. So, it’s a game we’re looking forward to play.”
Frank also offered Archie Gray advice ahead of Leeds, especially regarding what must come next for him to develop further.
The worrying Spurs stats ahead of facing Leeds
Chris Sutton has been pleasantly surprised by Farke proving him wrong but there are reasons for Leeds to think they can claim victory in tomorrow’s game, and not just a point.
That said, some of the stats surrounding the game aren’t as positive as Farke’s record vs Frank. That’s because Leeds have lost nine of their last 11 Premier League games against Tottenham.
That includes one win and one draw but also the fact Leeds have lost each of their last four in a row, which is their longest ever league losing run to Spurs.
Then there is the fact Spurs have picked up seven points in their three away Premier League games in 2025/26, winning two (Man City and West Ham United) and drawing one (Brighton & Hove Albion).
It’s as many as in their previous 11 games on the road combined, having won two, drawn one, and lost eight in that time. They may have some fair concerns, but they are in decent nick ahead of facing Leeds.
