Thomas Frank has been told to change his attacking style ahead of Tottenham’s game against Copenhagen on Tuesday.
Tottenham will take on Copenhagen in the Champions League on 4 November in the hope of improving their European record after a goalless draw against Monaco last matchday.
This comes after Spurs suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, which would have been heavier if not for the strong hand of Guglielmo Vicario.
As a result, the Lilywhites will be keen to issue a strong response to disappointed fans with a win against Copenhagen.
Tottenham told grim attacking reality after defeat to Chelsea
Tottenham recorded just 0.10 expected goals in a game where Randal Kolo Muani failed to register a single shot for Spurs.

The Lilywhites’ lacklustre attack has been an issue for a while, with Micky van de Ven, Tottenham’s top goalscorer, having netted five goals this season.
A defender being the top scorer is a worrying statistic, and as a result, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham believes that Frank should tweak his system to improve Spurs’ overall attacking output.
“At present, the forward line, as we saw against Newcastle and Chelsea, are just not clicking,” Wenham said.
“A change of style is needed and hopefully comes tonight against Copenhagen.”
Xavi Simons is the answer to Tottenham’s attacking woes
Xavi Simons has faced criticism at Tottenham after a disappointing start to the season.
Indeed, the Dutch international was signed soon after James Maddison suffered an ACL injury during pre-season, with most fans confident of him replicating Maddison’s creative output.
It’s safe to say that Simons has failed to meet expectations. However, Frank has not exactly set Spurs up to succeed.
The versatile attacking midfielder thrives with the ball at his feet and is known for creating quality chances for his forwards.
However, it is difficult to see how Simons can perform when he’s seeing so little of the ball.
It is undeniable that Spurs will create more chances if one of their best creators receives the ball in positions where he’s most dangerous.
As a result, Frank could benefit by tweaking the system slightly to allow Simons into the game more.
