Tottenham Hotspur have barely had time to land back in the country before they welcome Leicester City on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
Spurs won 3-2 against Hoffenheim in Sinsheim on Thursday night with an early goal from James Maddison and a brace from captain Son Heung-min and the squad landed at 2am on Friday morning after their Europa League victory in Germany. That meant Ange Postecoglou's players have had just over 48 hours to recover before facing second-from-bottom Leicester in the latest Premier League game in N17.
The Foxes in contrast have had eight days to prepare after their defeat to Fulham at home last Saturday and the Tottenham players are going to have to find the energy to compete with them. The number of unavailable players means Postecoglou is likely to have to name a very similar starting line-up again to the one in Germany.
