Tottenham Hotspur were one of the most active clubs in the transfer market as they made ten new signings under Roberto De Zerbi.
In what was a summer of change at N17, a handful of notable players also departed the club, such as Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Guglielmo Vicario.
In terms of their attacking midfield spot, Tottenham are in a bit of a spot of bother as Xavi Simons, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison continue to be hampered by injuries.
Mohammed Kudus can play in that position, but reports suggest Tottenham are actively keeping tabs on Mateus Mane.
Tottenham want Mateus Mane
Ekrem Konur reports that the Lilywhites are ‘actively’ scouting the young Englishman, who is valued at around £50m according to Goal.
An excerpt from his Football360 article reads: “Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Newcastle United all maintain active scouting files on the 18-year-old.”
Manchester United and Liverpool’s interest has also been mentioned in the report, with Mane hailed as Wolves’ biggest asset as they aim to return to the Premier League.
The 18-year-old has more than proved that he is ready for top-flight football, so don’t be surprised to see him secure a transfer in 2027.
