Tottenham have already confirmed seven transfers this summer and an eighth is potentially on the way with advanced talks ongoing
Middlesbrough are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham striker Will Lankshear on a permanent deal, football.london understands.
The Championship club are set to receive in the region of £15million as part of the sell-on clause that will be activated upon Morgan Rogers' triple-figure transfer to Chelsea and it looks as though they are spending those incoming funds.
football.london reported last week that Sporting CP, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton all made approaches for the 21-year-old, but those were rebuffed by Spurs.
Eight-figure proposals were made by the three clubs which included a straight permanent transfer or a loan switch that would have included an obligation to buy. While those were rejected, Boro have seemingly met Tottenham's demands.

Teeside Live, sister-site of football.london, state that Middlesbrough have monitored Lankshear for several years, and Kim Hellberg tried to bring him to Riverside Stadium in January.
However, Lankshear stayed at struggling Oxford United in order to honour his season-long loan agreement. Despite their relegation to League One, the striker left an impression with 11 goals and four assists from 44 Championship appearances.
The young forward joined Tottenham from Southampton, but was part of Arsenal's academy before that. He has made six competitive appearances for the Lilywhites, with his first professional goal coming in the Europa League clash against Galatasaray back in November 2024.
It has already been a busy summer for Tottenham with around £240million spent to sign Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke.
Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka have also joined as free agents with more additions being targeted by Robert De Zerbi. Eli Kroupi Junior of Bournemouth has been linked while interest remains from last summer in Manchester City winger Savinho.
Exits have also taken place with Luka Vuskovic joining Brighton in a £50m deal despite never making a competitive appearance for Spurs.
The likes of Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Lucas Bergvall could join Vuskovic and now seemingly Lankshear in being sold.
Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United have seen bids for Bergvall rejected while Inter Milan hold an interest in Spence, who has seen his stock rise following an impressive World Cup.
Club captain Romero has interest from Spain and Italy but any immediate transfer could be in doubt after he was forced off in the World Cup final with injury.
Argentina were beaten by Spain in that showpiece clash at MetLife Stadium with Spurs star Pedro Porro on the winning side. Had he not signed a contract earlier this summer, exit links would have almost certainly ramped up after such an impressive tournament.
