Rosario Central haven’t given up on Alejo Véliz, after Tottenham Hotspur rejected their loan offer.

On Tuesday, Rosario Central technical director Federico Lussenhoff said he won’t rule out a move for the 21-year-old and that negotiations are underway.
Rosario Central will face tough competition from Racing Club de Avellaneda to sign the Tottenham player. That’s according to TyC Sports, who state the latter have joined the race.
Gustavo Costas, the Argentine club’s manager, has requested a new striker and the focus is on Véliz.
The report states Racing have contacted the Europa League winners over a move for the Argentina U21 international. If he returns to Argentina, his preference is Rosario Central. They can’t afford to buy him, and their loan offer has been rejected.
According to TyC Sports, the frontman has given his approval to Racing, who have made an initial bid of $5m [€4.3m] for 60% of his rights.
Thomas Frank’s side have ‘approved the transfer, provided some details of the initial offer are modified’.
There’s no mention of what those details are.
