Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are in the picture to sign Parma’s Mandela Keita in the summer.
The midfielder joined the Serie A side from Royal Antwerp in August 2024 for €13m plus €2m bonuses, and played regularly in his debut season.
He’s played 2,917 minutes from 37 matches this season and his performances have caught Tottenham and Aston Villa attention.
Back in February, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy that Spurs and the Villans sent scouts to follow him.
Tottenham and Aston Villa in lead
The Premier League duo would have to be wary of Atalanta in the chase for Mandela Keita after this season.
That’s according to Parma Today, who report Atalanta have joined his suitors, seeing the player as an option to replace Éderson. Manchester United and Atlético Madrid are keen on the Brazilian, who is likely to leave after this season.
Therefore, La Dea are monitoring the Belgian and also requested information about signing him. However, there’s been no further advances so far.
Meanwhile, Parma have no financial need to sell but are ready to study offers.
Parma Today explain the Italian club ‘can’t refuse’ if they receive a ‘significant offer’. There’s no mention of a figure or a range, and as of now, and Parma haven’t received a substantial proposal.
Atalanta Today, a website dedicating their coverage to the Italian club, also report interest in 23-year-old. A potential move depends on Éderson moving elsewhere in the next window.
Therefore, La Dea have not made any advances to sign Keita. Meanwhile, Tottenham and Aston Villa have no such constraints and are now in the front row to sign him.
Tutto Atalanta, after relaying Parma Today’s report, adds Spurs and Unai Emery’s side are ‘ready to launch a multi-million dollar international bidding war’ for Keita. The figures aren’t mentioned.
Contract, value and agent info
With a contract expiring in 2028, Transfermarkt value Mandela Keita at €18m, the highest of his career. Parma are most likely to request a fee higher than that to consider selling him.
Agency World in Motion, owned by agent Andy Evans, represent the Parma player.
