Fenerbahçe’s Yusuf Akçiçek is on the agenda at Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of Sabah, who report Tottenham and Manchester United are among several European clubs to have shown interest in the 19-year-old.
The report mainly focuses on Club Brugge’s interest and their scout, Dimitri Vastenavondt, has gathered a detailed report on the defender.
Sabah have been able to access it, and it’s explained Akçiçek is a left footed centre-back, capable of playing as a left wing-back in a three-man defence. He’s 1.93m tall, physically strong, effective aerially and capable of making ‘line-breaking passes’.
The Turkey U19 international joined the Yellow Canaries’ academy from Galatasaray in 2019 and was promoted to the first team in 2023.
Akçiçek played 27 games so far and 20 were from last season. He’s a rising U21 star of Turkish football and his development has seen his valuation increase from €500,000 at the end of last year to €5m in March.
Sabah report Tottenham and Manchester United were among the clubs who sent their officials to Turkey to take a closer look at the youngster last season.
As well as the Premier League duo, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan are also showing interest in Akçiçek.
Sabah believe a fee of around €20m should be enough to secure his services, but it’s unlikely for Tottenham, Manchester United or another club to offer close to that figure, at least in this window.
