Tottenham Hotspur's final Premier League position has been predicted by a supercomputer.
It has been a disappointing season for Ange Postecoglou's men, riddled with injuries and poor results. They go into the March international break on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Fulham, thanks to goals from Rodrigo Muniz and former Spurs man Ryan Sessegnon.
They currently occupy 14th position in the Premier League, just three points behind Manchester United. Leaving any chance of qualifying for European football borderline impossible - though there remains a very slim chance.
Spurs will have to wait two weeks for their next game, and what a game it is. A London derby with local rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, April 3, when they'll be hoping to get back to winning ways.
Even though Tottenham are still fighting in the Europa League, with a two-legged quarter-final clash against German club Eintracht Frankfurt to come, there is still plenty of football to be played in the English top tier. Nine games remain as pressure intensifies on Postecoglou, and each point could prove significant.
Opta Analyst has attempted to predict exactly how Spurs will finish this season in the Premier League. The site has crunched the numbers and reckons they will remain in 14th until the end of the campaign.
It has been predicted that Spurs will finish with 46 points (46.29) after their 38 matches. This would be enough to finish 14th in the table, behind Manchester United (48.59) in 13th and ahead of West Ham United (45.23) in 15th.
Spurs currently have 34 points on the board after 29 games, so if the prediction is accurate, the North London club will only pick up an additional 12 points. This could be in the shape of three wins, three draws and three defeats.
